STANDS FOR PEACE - FROM THE HUB TO THE HIGHWAY
To
acknowledge the tragedy of September 11, 2001 and to address
the tragedy of our government's policies of war, we are planning
the largest peace vigil in Marin's history on Sunday, September
8. We are calling for thousands of people to join hands in an
uninterrupted chain from the San Anselmo Hub to Highway 101 in
San Rafael. We intend to show ourselves and our community our
commitment to a world that works for ALL of us. Our government
is threatening democracy at home and abroad, the lives of people
everywhere, and the future of our living planet. Will you
join the vigil? Join the Marin Peace and Justice Coalition from
1 - 3 pm for the peace vigil to be followed by a rally at the
San Rafael City Plaza.Contact
for more info. and let us know if your organization wants to table
at the plaza: Barbara Bogard, barbara_bogard@hotmail.com,
415-381-8085 or Zhenya Spake (415) 381-9085. |
