Proposed Antenna Cluster Update

The town of Fairfax is once again being asked by the Fairfax theatre to allow it to host a cellular antennae placement. Please attend the Fairfax town council meeting, Tuesday July 9, 2002 to register your feelings about this hazardous placement in a residential neighborhood!

The recent lawsuits brought by the towns of Mill Valley and San Anselmo against the cellular technology industry went down to defeat and the towns are being forced to cover industry court costs. These suits were brought siting health issues.

The town of Fairfax is taking a different tack, looking more specifically at the potential property value impact on homes in the neighborhoods surrounding the Fairfax theatre, which has approached the town, asking to mount antennae clusters atop the theater.

In support of the efforts of the town, Sustainable Fairfax is involved in educating residents to the potential health risks associated with cellular technology. If you would like to help move this effort forward, please leave a message for Valeri at 459-3768.
