Sustainable Fairfax will host a recycling fair in Peri Park on May 20, 2001 from noon - 4:00 pm to celebrate the installation of recycling receptacles in the town's parks and downtown areas. The recycling fair will feature information, entertainment, and games, all designed to promote increased recycling in Fairfax. The event will be highlighted by the unveiling of eight mosaic plaques depicting native species of plants and animals, created by local artists, middle and high school students. The Mosaics are truly beautiful and this will be the last time to see them displayed together. The mosaics will decorate receptacles in Peri Park, Bolinas Road Park, and the Central Baseball Field.

Music for the event will be provided by the HAND Band pictured below...

Our project partners include: Marin Conservation Corps., Fairfax Refuse & Recycling, The Town of Fairfax, Fairfax Chamber of Commerce, White Hill Middle School, Local Artists, Students and other local youth. Check back for more information soon!
